Snacks and lunches are included and consist of 75-100% organic ingredients. We grow some of our own organic veggies, and the children help with the gardening. There is a set menu, yet we are open to adjusting meals to fit the special needs of children.
Wednesday
Coming together once a week is a great way for children to gradually transition into being away from home. It is also a great supplement to a tue/thurs. program.Tuesday/Thursday
Short circle times and a mix of guided activities with plenty of free discovery gently introduce the concept of structure. Children practice sitting together and listening to stories and participating in projects within a group setting. Verbal and social skills are developing through play, song, and exploration.Monday/Wed./Friday
We now offer a 3 day program for 3 and 4 year olds. Through art, literature, and creative projects children of all ages are exposed to varied models of math, science, reading and writing.Wednesdays ages 2-4

*Implementation of extended day program depends on level of interest. A five day program is probable, but is not in the schedule at this time. Please let us know if you are interested in a 5 day option.
Other programs will continue to flourish at the River School including classes for older children and adults. We are considering offering an after-school program (3:00-5:00). Please let us know if this is something you would utilize.
